One day a woman was walking to the bus stop. It was rainy so she went there to rest and dry off for a while. When she got dry she noticed a guy was sitting next to her. “Hi, are you waiting for the bus?” the woman said.
“Yes, I am,” said the man.
“It is too stormy out here, my car is over there, I would be much obliged to take you home.” They started to walk to her car.
“Thank you very much by the way, what is your name?”
“It’s Annabelle,” she continued, “What is your name?”
“Nice to meet you, Jhon.” They both looked into each other’s eyes and knew they would both see each other again.
“I guess I’ll see you again on a date soon,” Jhon said.
“Maybe, maybe not,” Annabelle said. Then she left.
After that, they went on a lot of dates. One day, she was smiling and happy. She was going to ask him to be her boyfriend. She knocked on his house’s door and his mom appeared.
“Hello, why are you here?” Jhon’s mom said.
“I’m here to see your son, Jhon.”
“What are you talking about?” she asked.
“We have been dating for weeks,” she explained.
“No, that’s not right. You mean him?” she pointed at a picture of him. He looked just like he did on that rainy day.
“Yes, that’s him,” she said.
“Oh, I’m very sorry, but a year ago this happened.” She gave her an old newspaper. It was dated a year ago. It said a 34 year old man named John had died at a bus stop because of a car accident that had killed him.
